| BIOGRAPHY DR. STEPHEN MECHTLER |
 DR. STEPHEN MECHTLER is an OB/GYN with over 16 years of experience. He opened Snyder OB/GYN in July 2003 as a solo practice after working in a group practice for 11 years. He recently acquired the practices of Creekside OB/GYN and has added nurse practitioners, an additional nurse and an additional medical secretary to his staff.
Dr. Mechtler was raised in Western New York and attended Canisus College for pre-Med. He then attended the University of Budapest Medical School in Budapest, Hungary and received his MD there in 1984. |

He did his OB/GYN residency at SUNY here in Buffalo, New York and has been in private practice since 1991. He was initially at Health Care Plan, then later, Promedicus Health Group prior to opening Snyder OB/GYN.
He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has special interests in high risk pregnancies, menopause, contraception, fibroids and laparoscopic surgeries including laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy and laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis. |
